Making A Difference Ride
The Making a Difference Ride (M.A.D.) Inc. is an incorporated charitable organisation formed by members of the Perth Street Bike community. M.A.D. raises much needed funds, gains support and improves awareness of the Shenton Park Rehabilitation Hospital and also Reds Spinal Research at the University of Western Australia. Since 2005, M.A.D. has raised more than $50,000 through organised charity rides, as well as raffles and fund raising. All proceeds have gone towards spinal injury research and rehabilitation.
The 2010 Making A Difference Ride has now been confirmed, and will be a major part of the Toodyay Motorcycle Festival.
All two and three wheeled motorised transport is welcome, and M.A.D. is calling out to anyone to get involved to support this great cause. There is hope that this year, they will beat their records numbers of over 2500 bikes.
