Another first for this year’s festival is the insane Yamaha Showtime Team who will be displaying some Freestyle Motocross like never seen before at Northam. The Team, booked to fly-in for the festival from the East, will be presenting jaw-dropping mid-air freestyle tricks, sure to leave spectators sweaty palmed and screaming for more.

There’s plenty of racing torque happening around the place for this years festival and one of the great highlights is the confirmed guest appearance of Italy’s #1 champion and World #2 champion in Supermoto racing, flamboyant David Gozzini. Check out global talent Gozzini in action versus Australia’s best Supermoto racers at Northam where the final round of the Australian Supermoto Championship takes place.

This is your opportunity to see the racers competing for the National Title up close and personal on the specially formulated track, which now runs through the streets of Northam and features many viewing points, ensuring no action is missed. Cast your eyes on some of the best Supermoto riders from around Australia scheduled to head over for the championship. Among them is Angus Reekie (KTM), who recently won the two opening rounds of the 2008 Australian Supermoto Championship – a 2-wheel star that all motorcycle enthusiasts should endeavour to see in action. The festival offers a weekend of speed, excitement and a chance to see Australia take on Italy in some of the best racing ever seen in Australia – bring it on!

AVON VALLEY ROCKS - CONCERT

Avon Valley Rocks Concert – another exciting addition to this year’s festival. The night features renowned classic Australian band, The Hoodoo Gurus, Jon Stevens from rock-icon band, Noiseworks and Perth-based Red Jezebel.

STUNT RIDING

Dont miss the impressive stunt riding demos. See stunt riding legend Matt Mingay and Cam Ambridge from Stuntz Inc, up-close as they put on a breathtaking display of wheelies, stoppies and endos.

Matt Mingay

Matt Mingay is a Professional Stunt Rider / Roadbike Freestyler, Stunt Driver and Drift Demonstrator. Matt starred as Tom Cruise’s stunt double in Mission Impossible II and his shows are a definite must see.

Matt is the most recognized stunt rider in Australia and is considered as the benchmark for Australian stuntriding and is continually raising the bar to a new level.

He has held a series of records including:

Fastest Stoppie @ 211k/ph in 2005
Fastest Wheelie @ 225 k/ph for 1klm
Plus many more!

Rated as Australia's Number 1 for entertainment, he will leave you screaming for more after seeing one of his performances.

Cam Ambridge

Cam Ambridge is a professional stuntrider and drifter who has featured in the Police Academy Stunt Show Movieworld as well as movies such as Superman Returns, The Marine and Bollywood flick, Dhoom.

He is based in the Gold Coast and his goal is to keep progressing forward.

NEW BIKES & ACCESSORIES

This year’s festival is bigger than ever with new bike displays from most of the major manufacturers including: Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Triumph, Harley Davidson, Ducati and more. There is also heaps for stalls with lots of accessories to check out.

MOTO TRIALS

(9:30, 11:00, 13:00, 14:30, 16:00 Sat & Sun)*

Moto trials, also known as Rock Hopping, is the slowest and most unique type of riding, but it needs to be seen to be believed! The sport involves riders having to ride over an obstacle course without putting they’re feet down, which is called "dabbing". If the rider "dabs", they get penalty points.

This sport breed's riders that are just simply amazing to watch, some of the tricks they do, defy belief. The riders will be riding some pretty awesome obstacles including concrete pipes and culverts, the caravan and the "SPLATT" wall. The Splatt Wall is a adjustable vertical wall that starts off at 1.8m and can be raised up to 3m, the riders have to ride up the vertical face.
